Created 24 years ago, the Fête de l'Oranger celebrates the traditions from "Le Bar sur Loup", the savoir faire of the artists and artisans who exhibit and the famous bitter orange tree (Bigaradier).

It is a village that will come alive and colored in orange to celebrate this citrus fruit, a real economic and cultural dynamic of the town for many years.

A large craft market, all day, will wait for visitors in the squares and streets of the village. Free and guided tours will take place throughout the day with a departure in front of the town hall.

On the square Seytre, an interactive workshop on the cooperage will be led by Cyrille Dumoutier, while Eric Faustin will deliver all the secrets of distillation. Demonstrations and tips on the orange tree orange will also be offered to the public.

All day in front of the town hall, an eco-museum recall the traditions of the town with sizes of "colannes", these long ribbons that are still drying at the windows and which are part of the composition of the famous orange wine, will be proposed to the public.

At Espace Guintran, children will have at their disposal a program of the most enticing with discovery of farm animals, scented workshops, making bread, jams or paper, tractor circuit and make-up stand. And at the Caves du Château, it is the children of the school group who will present their artistic works.

As for gastronomy, the contest of orange wine and bitter orange jams, animated by the Aubarnencs club, will see the juries compete in long palaver for the best productions.

A day between traditions and festivities, accompanied by the music of Canté Music, Nid'Oc and the dancers of Recordações de Portugal.
